Description
January 7 – Synaxis of the Prophet Prodromos and John the Baptist, the oldest holiday. John the Baptist, also called John the Baptist, is a saint and a prophet of Christianity. He was a modern disciple of Jesus Christ and it is believed that with his teaching he prepared the world to receive the Messiah Jesus, hence the designation “Forerunner”, whom he baptized.
